Robert Hedge has spent most of his life playing in bands and making records. In April 2007, he put out his first solo album, “Howling At The Sun”, and in October 2009 pressed the vinyl-only E.P., “The Observer”. He enjoys working in a production capacity for other artists and composing for film and television.

Fiercely original, Robert's songs convey his personal accounts and observations while remaining open and accessible to the listener. The arrangements and production are richly layered and offer subtle surprises, but never diminish the impact of the core idea – the song. Beauty, fear, anger, longing and humour are each expressed as simply and directly as one might offer the time of day. These are words and melodies sung with a voice that conveys truth.

In February of 2010, Robert signed an exclusive international publishing deal with Yergh Entertainment Group in London, UK. His latest solo effort is entitled, "The Cleansing Fires". He lives in downtown Toronto with his young son, Barrett. “Car 5342” and “Funerals and Forgotten Promises” have recently been licensed to award winning director Jeff Kopas' new film, 'An Insignificant hArvey'.
